On Thursday, the official X account for Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! Manga by Take will be going on a hiatus again. While the manga was supposed to return this month, it has been delayed due to the author’s health.

Last month, Take was diagnosed with COVID-19. On Friday, Take stated that it is possible that they might suffer from aftereffects of the disease.

Take went on to say that although they are still sketching every day, the drawings are “weak,” and they are apprehensive about when they will be able to resume drawing manga in its entirety.

Take declared that they don’t think they can keep up their present rate of manga drawing.

In December 2017, Take released the manga on Niconico as a part of the Dra Dra Sharp# line. After being delayed from May 2, the manga’s 111th chapter was released on May 10.

The 12th volume of the manga will still be shipped on July 9 as scheduled.

The manga, which Seven Seas is publishing in English, tells the following story:

All Sakurai Shinichi wants is a little quiet time. However, his gregarious, well-groomed underclassman, Uzaki Hana, has other ideas.

She just wants to hang out and make jokes about him. Her cheerful charisma and tenacious perseverance could potentially lead to a wonderful relationship!

The 12-episode first season of the television anime adaptation of the manga debuted in July 2020 in Japan. As the season aired in Japan, it was streamed via Funimation.

Under the title Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! ω, the anime’s second season premiered in October 2022 and ran for 13 episodes. The show was streamed live on Crunchyroll as it aired.
