The Eminence In Shadow Anime Series Officially Announces A Movie In The Works
The title of the film is “The Eminence in Shadow: Lost Echoes” and it was announced after the finale of Season 2.
The official Twitter handle of The Eminence in Shadow anime series announced on Dec 20, 2023, that a brand-new movie is currently in the works!
The title of the film is “The Eminence in Shadow: Lost Echoes” and it was announced after the finale of Season 2. A new key visual was also released, featuring a dangerous-looking grave with two huge slashes on it.

No other information about the movie, including its plot and release date, has been announced so far. So stay tuned!
About the Eminence in Shadow:
The Eminence in Shadow is a Japanese light novel series written by Daisuke Aizawa and illustrated by Tōzai. It began serialization online in May 2018 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō. It was later acquired by Enterbrain, who have published the series since November 2018.
A manga adaptation with art by Anri Sakano has been serialized in Kadokawa Shoten’s seinen manga magazine Comp Ace since December 2018. A spin-off manga by Seta U titled “The Eminence in Shadow! Shadow Side Story” was also serialized via Comp Ace from July 2019 to September 2023.
Studio Nexus developed an anime television series adaption, which aired from October 2022 to February 2023. A second season aired from October to December 2023.
Yen Press describes the overall plot of the Eminence in Shadow as follows:
Even in his past life, Cid’s dream wasn’t to become a protagonist or a final boss. He’d rather lie low as a minor character until it’s prime time to reveal he’s a mastermind…or at least, do the next best thing-pretend to be one! And now that he’s been reborn into another world, he’s ready to set the perfect conditions to live out his dreams to the fullest. Armed with his overactive imagination, Cid jokingly recruits members to his organization and makes up a whole backstory about an evil cult that they need to take down. Well, as luck would have it, these imaginary adversaries turn out to be the real deal-and everyone knows the truth but him!
