My Hero Academia Season 7 New Trailer Features Opening Theme By Unravel’s Singer

The My Hero Academia panel at the AnimeJapan 2024 event on Mar 24, 2024, showcased a new trailer for My Hero Academia Season 7, which is set to hit streaming platforms worldwide on on May 4 with episode 139.

The trailer sets the stage for what we should expect for the new season and how Deku and the others will fair against All For One and Shigaraki in the series’ climatic showdown!

It also features the new opening theme “Dare Ware Tame” by Tk from Ling Tosite Sigure, who also performed the iconic theme song “Unravel” from Tokyo Ghoul.

Tk comments on the opening theme as follows:

“I have no personality, no talent and am far from being a hero, but I’ve been thinking about what I can draw for the work. The theme of this song was born the moment a soap bubble flew in front of me and disappeared, leaving its shape on the concrete, reflecting the rainbow colours so vividly. Is this battle, which continues with deprivation and even pain in our hands, for ourselves or for someone else? May the brightness that shines through the tattered world be engraved with this song.”

To commemorate the release of My Hero Academia Season 7, TOHO Animation will release recap episodes on the following dates, dubbed as “My Hero Academia Memories”:

About My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia is a manga series written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 2014, with its chapters additionally collected into 39 tankōbon volumes as of November 2023.

It inspired many spin-off manga, including My Hero Academia: Smash!!, Vigilantes, and Team-Up Missions. Besides light novels, stage plays, and souvenirs, the franchise has produced many video games.
