Popular Japanese Music Variety Show List Down The Top 20 Anime Songs Loved By Foreigners
Seriously. Who made this list and why??!
Quiz! Doremifadon, a popular music variety show in Japan that aired on May 6, 2024, dropped a list that claims that the following is a list of the top 20 anime songs that are loved by the majority of fans overseas.
Although the list consists of some classical favorites, there are also some which are clearly mentioned due to recency-bias. And the fact that the list consists of songs from the 80s indicate that voters had ALL anime songs in mind and not just the recent ones. Take a look!
- Dragon Ball Z: CHA LA HEAD CHA LA
- Naruto Shippuden: Blue Bird
- One Piece: We Are
- Neon Genesis Evangelion: Cruel Angel’s Thesis
- Attack on Titan: Feuerroter Pfeil und Bogen
- Slam Dunk: Sekai ga Owaru Made wa…
- Your Name: Zen Zen Zense
- Slam Dunk: Kimi ga Suki da Sakebitai
- Digimon Adventure: Butter-Fly
- Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba): Gurenge
- Oshi no Ko: Idol
- Haikyull: Fly High!!
- Saint Seiya: Pegasus Fantasy
- Mashle: Bling-Bang-Bang-Born
- Cowboy Bebop: Tank!
- Yu Yu Hakusho: Smile Bomb
- Chainsaw Man: KICK BACK
- One Piece Film Red: New Genesis
- Sailor Moon: Moonlight Densetsu
- Jujutsu Kaisen: Ao No Sumika
Personally, I don’t know how Blue Bird from Naruto is considered more iconic than Silhouette. Even Feuerroter Pfeil und Bogen from Attack on Titan is not as recognizable than Sasagayo. I mean, C’mon!
And I can think of 100 other songs that are better or more recognizable than Chainsaw Man’s KICK BACK.
Seriously. Who made this list and why??!
