Kishimoto Just Created the Naruto Multiverse! BORUTO TWO BLUE VORTEX CHAPTER 13 SPOILERS

• In the previous chapter, Boruto comes to Sarada’s rescue but  Jura guns him down from above with a Tailed Beast Ball.

Chapter 13 is titled “Ten Directions”

The covers shows timeskip Boruto with his sword ready.

Editor’s comment: Boruto is shot down by Jura’s chakra bullet. Can he do anything against the relentless pursuit?

Jura flies over the battlefield, looking at a fallen Boruto being tended to by Sumire, and begins charging another Tailed Beast Ball.

Jura: He was amusing. It was a pity to see him go. Farewell, Boruto Otsutsuki.

Suddenly, Bug emerges from the Claw Grime around Jura.

Bug: Uhh…am I interrupting something?

Jura: Bug…what is it?

Bug: Matsuri has returned. Based on her findings, it’s safe to say Boruto has someone helping him.

Jura looks at Boruto.

Jura: As for the thorn soul, did this ally of his inform him about it?

Bug: Wait, are you the one who has the thorn soul? Did that Hidari bastard die?

Jura: The enemy is no slouch. Let’s retreat for now. We cannot allow Hidari’s thorn soul to rot.

Jura looks at Boruto, still breathing after the attack

Jura: You are quite fortunate, Boruto Otsutsuki. It is as though the heavens are urging you to stay alive. Is this what they call “divine intervention”?

Boruto pants heavily as he recalls the past.

Boruto, with Sasuke’s haircut, looks around as he hides behind a rock while Sand shinobi look around for him.

Sand shinobi: He might be close. Search the area.

Boruto hears a voice from behind

Mysterious voice: I finally found him, Boruto

A frog comes out

Frog: Did a quick check. There’s 20 of them. You’re surrounded. We don’t need to kill innocents.

Boruto panics and attempts to unsheathe his sword

Boruto: Who are you?!

Frog: Calm down. I’m not your enemy. If I was with them, I’d be contacting them instead of chatting with you.

Boruto: Tell me, what do you want?

Frog: First, let’s get out of here. We’ll talk then. Place your hands on the frog’s back. 

Boruto hesitates

Frog: There’s no time for hesitation. Wherever we are headed to is better than hiding out here or are you scared of frogs?

Boruto stretches out his right hand to tap the frog’s back

Boruto: Damn it…

In a lair similar in design to Orochimaru’s laboratories, a cloaked figure touches a Summoning Jutsu formula on the ground.

Koji: Summoning Jutsu!

Smoke puffs out of the jutsu formula

Boruto emerges, surprised as the frog also appears in the center of the formula.

Boruto (looks around): This place is…

Koji: We are outside the Land of Wind. In one of Orochimaru’s bases that was already abandoned. 

Even the secret entrances and exits to this base are hidden by my senjutsu. It’s not that easy to find.

Boruto looks at Kashin Koji

Koji: By the way, that frog…is a Scientific Ninja Tool. 

It is structurally similar to a frog but it is artificial.

I was remotely controlling it with my chakra. So you weren’t talking to a frog. You were talking to me.

Boruto: You… Who are you?…

Do you know me…?

Koji looks on silently.

Koji puts on his broken mask

Koji: This mask, do you recognize me?

Boruto is shocked.

Boruto: That mask, could it be…?

Koji: I am Kashin Koji. I was a synthetic human created by Amado. A cyborg if you will.

Boruto: Kashin Koji…?

How could I forget? The one who killed Old Man Ao! You tried killing Konohamaru-sensei too!

Koji: Let me verify something. From the day you were born until now, are you Boruto Uzumaki?

Boruto: What?

Koji: Just a confirmation. Please answer honestly.

Boruto: Do you know about Omnipotence?

Koji: This is what I know. Boruto, Isshiki’s vessel, has escaped from Kara. Amado and I worked together to help him escape. That’s how I see it. Is that true?

Boruto looks on.

Koji: I don’t know about this Omnipotence but I have a grasp of its consequences. That day, you were chased out of the village. It seems as though everyone’s memories of you and Kawaki were altered completely.

Boruto is surprised.

Boruto: How is this possible? The jutsu should be affecting your memory too. How were you able to decipher the situation I am in?

Koji: Because I had anticipated for this outcome.

Boruto looks at Koji. Koji looks down examines his mask.

Koji: I haven’t apologized yet. Although it was to outwit Isshiki, because of the mission, I had to fight you. I am really sorry.

Boruto: I am a shinobi too. I get the weight of the mission. Besides, I can’t explain my position to anyone, so it’s frustrating. It’s been a while since I found someone I could talk about this to.

Koji: As you know by now, I was made by Amado. To defeat Isshiki. To stop the Divine Tree plan that would destroy the planet.

Koji flashes back to his fight against Isshiki, the latter surrounded in flame.

Koji: His power was far beyond my imagination. I was sure that if I was able to pull him out of Jigen, my role was finished.

Koji is seen lying down, defeated.

Koji: I had no fear or regrets. I would leave the rest to the Hokage. I kept quiet waiting for death.

While Koji is lying down, filmstrips flash in front of him, showing multiple still images. Starting from the back, left-hand side, there is Boruto, some debris, Eida and the safehouse, followed by Code’s creation of the Claw Grimes from the Ten Tails Seedling, Code facing Kawaki and Boruto, then Sasuke and Baryon Mode Naruto facing off against Isshiki, shots of Sumire and Amado, then finally Eida, and Kawaki and Boruto in their Karma forms.

Koji: It happened all at once. One after another, the scenes unfold before my eyes

The panels show Kawaki destroying Jigen, Code and his Claw Grimes, and Kawaki and Eida when the latter began to cast Omnipotence.

Koji then sees the Divine Trees gather together, including one that resembles Shinki.

Koji: I thought at first

The Divine Tree is shown.

Koji: That it is the Ten Tails we must destroy.

But even if I die, Isshiki’s threat won’t end. The planet is still in danger.

Boruto looks on.

Koji: By comparing the visions I witnessed with the reality that happened, I deepened my grasp of this ability.

Boruto: Omnipotence…it swapped my and Kawaki’s positions. Did you know about that too?

Koji: Yes but I was convinced about it after talking to you. After as I am concerned, the current reality is that Kawaki is still the Hokage’s son.

Boruto: This ability of yours…how did you acquire it?

Koji: You must have heard about it from Amado, about Shibai Otsutsuki.

Boruto is shocked.

Koji: He once devoured the life of several planets. He mastered all shinjutsu and is regarded as a god. An Otsutsuki from ancient times.

Boruto: Shibai Otsutsuki…

Koji: All members of Kara were given power modifications by Amado. All of us had Shibai’s cells transplated into us. The goal was to manifest one of the many shinjutsu of his. Whether or not you can properly awaken those powers depends on sheer luck.

Code and Daemon are featured.

Koji: As a result, Code has the Claw Marks and Daemon has Reflection.

Boro, Delta, and Koji are shown in a black background.

Koji: Boro, Delta and I never gained shinjutsu.

We return to Koji lying on the ground defeated by Isshiki.

Koji: But Isshiki cornered me. That time, when my life was on the brink of death, it suddenly appeared.

Koji: The power to see all possible futures. It’s called “Ten Directions”.

Boruto: All…possible futures?

Filmstrips show Naruto in Baryon mode fighting Isshiki

Koji: It might seem obvious but our future isn’t a straight path. Events stretch out intricately at the crossroads where choices are made. In other words, a battle royale between fates.

Isshiki holding Kawaki up is shown.

Koji: Regarding what’s already been avoided…the timeline where the Hokage is killed, Isshiki was reincarnated through Kawaki and the planet being destroyed by the Divine Tree he planted.

Boruto looks surprised.

Boruto: What?

Koji: Although things did not happen that way, the possibility remained quite strong.

The panel shows Boruto and Sarada on the ground.

Koji: I will give another example. That day, the Hokage vanished by Kawaki’s hands. You and Kawaki got into a heated argument, resulting in you being killed by Kawaki. Sarada Uchiha tried to step in.

Boruto looks shocked.

Koji: In this version, you and Kawaki never swapped places. After that, Kawaki was helplessly beaten by Code and you were devoured by the Ten Tails. The Divine Tree bloomed and the planet was then destroyed.

It is tough to prove what I saw, those timelines that did not come true. What I wanted you to understand is our future now. We are walking towards a dangerous tightrope.

Boruto composes himself.

Boruto: It seems like a far-fetched story but I can’t overlook the way you grasped what Omnipotence is. That’s unnatural.

I would rather not think that everything you saw is all there is to the future. I’ll admit though that it doesn’t seem like baseless crap.

Koji: Thank you for understanding me.

Boruto: But in the end, it just means things will turn out the way they are meant to be, right? So you’ve seen different scenarios. How will that help things?

Koji: The biggest advantage is easily information. It will assist you in navigating through your fugitive life and prevent any dead ends like before.

Boruto: Yeah…it certainly helps.

Koji: It doesn’t stop there. The skills and jutsu you will have in the future. I can teach them to the current you. You can improve your training and make it more efficient.

Boruto looks amazed.

Boruto: Hey that’s totally cool, you know! I mean, that’s good.

Koji: There are no chronological contradictions. I am just telling you what I saw, although this is not a normal procedure for the Ten Directions.

Also, there is a way to save Sasuke Uchiha from turning into a Tree. I will explain it later.

Boruto looks surprised.

Koji: But first, I need to tell you about what can happen at any moment. The worst possible future.

Koji: First, the Ten Tails breaks free from Code’s control and attain new evolutions. In the form of several humanoid Divine Trees with their own wills. They will all likely reveal themselves to us, all 400 of them.

If we can remove the source of the Ten Tails, we should be good. Being able to see all possible futures, I will tell you that our chances are low. Humanoid Divine Trees each have a distinct form.

Koji: The most dangerous among them is the leader, Jura.

Boruto: Jura, huh.

Koji: Boruto, you…will be killed by him.

Boruto looks horrified.

Koji: I won’t reveal everything but in the many futures I saw, the result remains the same.

The Divine Tree is shown.

Koji: What happens after is more or less the same. Kawaki will be preyed on and the world will end.

This goes without saying that it shouldn’t happen. We cannot allow the worst possible future to take place. After all, as I said, there are endless possibilities.

Even if you know this fact, as we travel this path, we change our future at every moment.

Boruto: I’ll tell you one thing, old man.

Koji: Whether it is to stop the divine tree or something else, there’s no way I will ever agree to kill Kawaki.

Koji looks on as Boruto has a determined look.

Boruto: I will knock some sense back into my stupid brother. I will restore the Uzumaki Clan. That’s my goal.

Boruto removes Sasuke’s headband from his pocket and puts it on.

Boruto: Either way, the Ten Tails is in my way. I get that much.

Boruto tightens the headband.

Boruto: You don’t have to tell me. Code, Ten Tails and everything else. I will take care of it all, you know!

Koji looks on. Boruto returns to the present.

Sumire: Boruto-kun, don’t move yet.

Kawaki looks behind to Boruto while Sarada feels pain in her arm, with Konohamaru tending to her.

Konohamaru: The bones are fine but the nerves are likely damaged.

Sarada: I am fine. Focus on Boruto.

Himawari wakes up.

Himawari: Nishi-san

Himawari gets up.

Nishi: Himawari, are you alright? Does it hurt anywhere?

Konohamaru tends to Sarada. 

Himawari: Are you injured?

Himawari is shocked and tries to get them.

Nishi: Hey!

Himawari gets close ot Konohamaru and Sarada

Himawari: Show me.

Himawari extends Sarada’s arm and uses Kurama’s chakra to heal the injury.

Sarada is shocked.

Sarada: No way, it’s healing!

Kawaki checks on them.

Konohamaru: What is going on? Himawari, you-

Himawari looks relieved.

Himawari: The injury seems small so it should be okay now.

Sumire turns to face Himawari.

Sumire: Himawari-chan, please heal Boruto-kun too.

Himawari sees Boruto lying down.

Himawari: Boruto? He’s back?

Himawari tries to go.

Kawaki: Wait Himawari, don’t go near him!

Himawari: Onii-chan…

Sarada looks angrily.

Sarada: Kawaki, why you!

Kawaki: Don’t get me wrong. I am not saying not to heal it but something must be done before that.

Right, Konohamaru?

Sarada: Huh?

Konohamaru: That’s right. This is a once in a lifetime chance.

Konohamaru moves towards Boruto.

Sumire: Sensei..what?

Konohamaru: Sumire, move out of the way.

Konohamaru puts handcuffs on Boruto, who struggles.

Konohamaru: These are Amado’s sealing shackles. Now you won’t be able to use any jutsu.

Sarada: Konohamaru-sensei!!

Kawaki helps restrain Boruto while Sarada tries to walk to them.

Konohamaru: Don’t complain, Sarada. This is a natural result. We will get the info he’s got. I’ll contact Lord Eighth.

Kawaki notices the frog on Boruto and picks it up.

Kawaki checks the frog.

Kawaki: This is…Kashin Koji’s?

The frog suddenly vanishes in a puff of smoke.

Konohamaru: What is it?

Kawaki: It’s nothing.

In the old Oochimaru hideout, Koji senses the frog’s disappearance.

Koji: This is not good.

In the Divine Trees’ hideout, Jura floats down to a Daikouten black cube and plants the Thorn Soul. Jura moves away. The roots come towards it and a puff of smoke comes out.

And the result is Hidari’s body restored.

Jura: So how are you, Hidari? Feeling anything wrong?

Hidari: Not sure. I don’t know…

Jura: I see. Looks like you are aware of your identity as Hidari. No issues then. Identities remain intact after revival.

Matsuri: Jura, this will do, right?

Matsuri looks at a Thorn Soul emerging.

Matsuri: Look, there it is! I am itching to see it. I wonder what kind of person will show up.

Jura: I don’t care. Harvest it.

Matsuri telepathically moves the thorn soul out of its place and towards the cube

The Thorn Soul latches on to the center of the cube

Jura: I have to think of a name.
