Attack on Titan Releases Its Final Movie

Attack on Titan shook the world with its finale featuring the Rumbling and the conclusion to a 10-year anime phenomenon.

A year after the finale aired in television screens, the Final Chapters will air in the silver screen.

With the title “The Last Attack”, the 145-minute long movie by Studio MAPPA will be released on November 8, 2024 in Japanese theaters. This theatrical release combines Part 1 and Part 2 of the Final Season finale and is modified with improved cuts and 5.1ch surround sound.

Series Director for the Final Season Yuichiro Hayashi comments in the Shingeki.tv website:

“The final chapter of the Attack on Titan movie! LAST ATTACK! I’m happy to finally be able to make this announcement. Please don’t say that you can watch the final chapter anytime on streaming services… I originally drew the storyboard with the idea that it would be watched as a single movie, and having the opportunity to have everyone watch it in the best possible environment, the theater, is a dream come true for me. We are also working on updating the visuals a bit. Please come and experience the Rumbling at the movie theater!”

In commemoration of the theatrical release of the Attack on Titan finale. The series will be streamed on the TVer platform for free, starting from Season 1 until The Final Season Part 2. Starting from September 14, 2024 until October 24, 2024, at 12:00, 5-7 episodes will be updated every 4 days.

Attack on Titan is a manga series written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama for Kodansha’s monthly magazine Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine from September 2009 to April 2021. The series has been adapted into four anime seasons, three of which were handled by WIT Studio from April 2013 to July 2019, and the final season by Studio MAPPA from December 2020 to November 2023. Having reached over 140 million copies by November 2023, Attack on Titan is the 11th highest-selling manga of all time.
