Chapter 1124 is titled “Best Friend”
The cover story shows Yamato saving a woman’s life.
Morgans tries to share the news about Kid losing to Shanks and Law losing to Blackbeard but Vivi fights him so the news does not go out.
Akainu contacts Kizaru in Egghead. When Akainu accuses Kizaru of failing, Kizaru angrily responds with tears in his eyes, asking the Fleet Admiral “Have you ever killed your best friend? If you doubt me, come here and see for yourself!”
The scene then shifts to the Straw Hats feeling sad due to failing to save Vegapunk. Lilith wakes up and assures them that she is Vegapunk, so they did not fail their mission.
The chapter ends with the Straw Hats celebrating with Lilith as the ship heads for Elbaf.
On the final panel, a silhouette is drinking on the coast of Elbaf, saying “Come”.
