As the most popular anime and manga series of all time, One Piece serves as an inspiration to many people worldwide.

French Youtuber and influencer @Inoxtag reaches the top of Mt. Everest while wearing Luffy’s iconic Straw Hat.

On his Instagram and Twitter accounts, the Youtuber posted an inspiring message (shortened version)

He began, saying “to his his own Everest, to each his own dream,” encouraging his fans with his kaizen principle: “to become better than yesterday every day and go on an adventure.”

On September 14, 2024, Inoxtag posted a two hour, 26 minute documentary of his Everest adventure on his Youtube channel in the English language

In the description, Inoxtag states that he has spent a year preparing for the climb to Mount Everest.

Inoxtag brings up how the manga he read inspired him to pursue this challenge, especially One Piece, which he dedicates to with the wearing of the Luffy Straw Hat.

Inoxtag notes how he is just a 21-year-old Youtuber that does not practice any sport but has spent a full year documenting his path to climbing Mount Everest and achieve his dream.

The documentary was also shown in a single screening on September 13 in cinemas around France, Switzerland, Belgium and other French overseas departments and territories

Interestingly enough, during the Drum Island Arc, Luffy climbed a massive mountain to reach Dr. Kureha, the person that would help Nami with her disease from the Little Garden arc, even lifting up Nami and a badly-injured Sanji by grabbing hold of them with his mouth amidst a rough blizzard.
