Undead Unluck Ending in 2025

On January 16, 2025, it was announced that Undead Unluck  will be reaching its ‘super climax’ with a new color page next week in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #9 on January 20, 2025.

Next chapter would also be 26 pages long, meaning a page extension.

This is the second time a “super climax”, page extension and color page announcement was released for the final arc of Undead Unluck and it was for Chapter 236: “Heart”, released in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #4/5 on December 22, 2024.

Climax usually means the most exciting part of the story or an arc.

A “super climax” might indicate nearness to the end of a specific part or the whole story itself.

However, with the announcement of a “super climax” for Mission: Yokazura Family last December 27, 2024 now confirmed to be about the final chapter, Undead Unluck’s super climax might very well signal the ending of the story.

At the same time, Undead Unluck’s constant usage of the word “super climax” could just be another call to get readers hyped now that the final game against Sun is over.

The next chapter would be released on the 5th anniversary of the manga.

Undead Unluck is a manga written and illustrated by Yoshifumi Tozuka for Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump that began on January 20, 2020.

As of writing, there have been 24 volumes circulated.

Undead Unluck is set in a world where God created rules for reality yet is inhabited by humans called “Negators” that defy those rules.

The series name is taken from the main characters, Andy the Undead who has the ability to constantly regenerate, and Fuuka the Unluck, who attracts bad luck for those around her.

Together, the pair set on a quest to be rid of their abilities.
