One Piece: Every Roger Pirate Ranked
The Roger Pirates may have broken up but its members are the foundation of the One Piece’s pirate world.

We will rank the power of the Roger Pirates at their individual primes, meaning we will scale everyone based on their overall feats throughout the series and not just their time under Roger 25 years before the story began.
We will only include members who have individual feats and canon Roger Pirates, so Douglas Bullet will not be included on this list.
Crocus
First on our list would be the doctor Crocus.
While the old man is no slouch in the area of pirate combat, having withstood a shot from Ms. Wednesday (Vivi) he is primarily seen outside of it as the doctor of the Roger Pirates.
He does have Observation Haki as a bonus.
Kozuki Toki
An actual non-combatant on this list, what puts Toki here is her Devil Fruit, the Toki Toki no Mi that enabled her to not only leave the Void Century and enter the current age but also bring the Akazaya Nine 20 years into the future.
Kozuki Mononosuke
As a baby, Momonosuke would travel with the Roger Pirates and he would seem to have a clear memory of that time even while that young.
He would only gain power when he travelled 20 years into the future, accidentally eating the abandoned artificial Devil Fruit Vegapunk made from Kaido’s Lineage Factor.
At the start, due to his age, Momonosuke would be a small pink dragon the size of a normal human.
However, with Shinobu’s help, Momonosuke would grow, alongside his Devil Fruit, resulting in him being the same size as Kaido.
Witnessing how Kaido was able to lift Onigashima with Flame Clouds, Momonosuke would master the ability to stop the island from crashing into the Flower Capital, saving Wano.
He would even use his own Bolo Breath to deal some damage to the invading Admiral Ryokugyu’s giant tree form.
Other than that, Momonosuke, even without training, is insanely durable, inheriting his father’s own powerful body, and like Roger, Oden, and Luffy, was able to hear the Voice of All Things, particularly by speaking to Zunesha.
Buggy
This is a controversial placement but Buggy is actually a lot more competent than most people realize, if not for a Devil Fruit that allows him to split his body to avoid damage and even engage in surprise attacks, which he has used well against a younger, less experienced Luffy.
However, Buggy’s greatest asset is not his surprisingly flexible Devil Fruit but his sheer luck.
Like Luffy’s natural charisma and Conqueror’s spirit, Buggy is able to attract unsuspecting allies, which is why his inmates formed a cult around him in the Marineford Arc and he even managed to build his own company.
He was so lucky that being allied with two former Warlords in hiding, Crocodile and Dracule Mihawk, made him a Yonko and earned him a 3,189,000,000 Berry bounty.
Inuarashi and Nekomamushi
The Two Momoke Dukes, as Roger Pirates, they were simply apprentices like Shanks and Buggy who ended up this way by stowing away on Roger’s ship.
However, when they matured, they were strong enough to last against Jack for five days, taking turns in 12-hour intervals to take him on.
They were so strong that Jack had no choice but to gas the entire country of Zou just to end the bloody resistance, displaying how far the Dukes have come since their pirating days.
Don’t forget their use of Sulong under a full moon, which allowed Inuarashi to defeat Jack, Nekomamushi , and for both to injure Kaido, the King of Beasts himself.
Kozuki Oden
Wano’s most powerful samurai and legendary hero, Oden first served under the Whitebeard Pirates, during which time he met Gol D. Roger and attempted to take him on.
Although thrown back by Roger’s Divine Departure, Roger immediately acknowledged his power.
Oden was feared for his swordsmanship and Haki, which would be solidified through Enma that held overwhelming Haki that only he, and later on, Roronoa Zoro, could tame.
Most famously, Oden was the victor in their battle against Kaido, who had a durable main body and could turn into the colossal weather-manipulating Azure Dragon Seiryu.
Scopper Gaban
One of the two arms of the Pirate King Gol D. Roger, Gaban was one of the strongest pirates prior to the Great Pirate Era.
In Chapter 1140, which is named after him, Gaban reveals his prowess in Armament Haki to coat a giant key as his weapon.
His first signature technique, “Yasotakeru” (“Eighty Tribal Leaders”), unleashed a whirlwind of slashes that Zoro and Luffy considered too dangerous to tank and indeed this was powerful enough to destroy one of Aurust Castle’s mountain-sized towers.
Silvers Rayleigh
The Dark King and right-hand man of the Pirate King, Silvers Rayleigh was Luffy’s mentor at the end of his pre-timeskip journey.
He would display his mastery of Haki in the anime version of the Oden flashback where he used Armament Haki to block Marco the Phoenix’s attacks.
In his introduction in the Sabaody Archipelago Arc, he knocked out the whole slaver’s auction with Conqueror’s Haki, was fast enough to remove Camie’s exploding collar before it could even be triggered and even redirected Kizaru’s attack with Armament Haki, which is where the Rayleigh part of his name comes from.
To train Luffy, Rayleigh revealed his expertise in all three Haki forms, as he also used Observation to detect the creatures of Rusukaina and dodge their attacks, and Advanced Armament Haki to destroy objects and people from within during his training with Luffy.
In rescuing Boa Hancock in the anime, he was able to imbue his body and sword with Advanced Conqueror’s Haki.
In SBS Volume 65, Oda revealed that Shanks and Rayleigh could have knocked out all 100,000 of the pirates and Fish-men opposing the Straw Hats with their Conqueror’s Haki.
Shanks
In his youth, Shanks was an apprentice under the Roger Pirates alongside Buggy and the two would clash against Marshall D. Teach before the latter gained any remarkable powers.
However, after leaving the crew, forming the Red-Hair Pirates, and becoming a Yonko, Shanks would develop some of the strongest Haki the series has ever seen.
He is the first person to demonstrate Haki in general by using Conqueror’s Haki to scare off the Lord of the Coast and managed to split the sky in a clash with Whitebeard.
He was even able to transmit Conqueror’s Haki to scare off Admiral Ryokugyu and could use an advanced form of Conqueror’s Haki called Observation Killing to prevent Observation users like Charlotte Katakuri from predicting the future.
He was such a skilled swordsman that he was considered a worthy rival for the World’s Greatest Swordsman, Dracule Mihawk, until the loss of his left arm when saving Luffy from the Lord of the Coast in Chapter 1: “Romance Dawn.”
However, even with only his right arm, Shanks never once waned in power.
Gol D. Roger
The King of the Pirates and Captain of the Roger Pirates, Gol D. Roger was the first man to circumnavigate the entire One Piece world and repeat the process within one year, only surpassed by the Straw Hats’ shorter journey.
But by himself, Roger might be one of the most powerful beings in One Piece history, clashing equally with Whitebeard in their younger days to cause the sky to split from their immense Conqueror’s Haki.
Most of all, together with the Hero of the Marines, Monkey D. Garp, he was able to defeat Rocks D. Xebec, the Captain of the Rocks Pirates, three of which would later go on to become Yonko.
