Rakshas Tries to Assassinate Guts! Berserk Chapter 379 Spoilers!
A rather action-paced Berserk chapter that sets up Rakshas’ assassination attempt on Guts.
In the previous Berserk chapter, Rakshas reveals himself to the Kuraltai of the Kushan Empire and his presence brings Qliphoth into the city.
Berserk Chapter 379 is titled, “Those Who Dance Through the Depths of Hell”.
This chapter has 22 pages.
The color page shows Isidro and Serpico with Azan and two Bakiraka while Farnese’s giant Astral Projection floats above the city with the light green hue that Berserk uses for spirit power.
Puck is also glowing brightly in front of Isidro.

The chapter continues where we left off as a stampede forms, much to Isidro’s frustration.
As Isidro and Puck hide in an alley, Puck explains that the monsters that came into the city are trolls, which indicates the emergence of Qliphoth.
The trolls assault them but then Azan appears to crush their heads.
Soon, the giant elephants crush the people around them without warning as Rakshas asks Silat what his next move is.
Daiba worries about the rampage of the magical beasts and Silat notices the panic around them and the loss of exit points.
Silat orders Daiba to convey the former’s thought via telepathy and to expand it throughout the whole city.
Daiba is alarmed but obeys nonetheless and so Silat communicates to everyone across the city, motivating them to fight back against this invasion as they are a people of war.
Farnese casts a spell that casts down beams of light upon the trolls, destroying them.
The Kushan or Roderick himself (it is unclear) recognize this as the Array of the Four Cardinal Points, the magic used to exorcise demons.
However, the group are still being attacked, until Farnese and Serpico step in.
We see some well-drawn and detailed faces as the Kushan shift from fright to fight mode.
Daiba wrests control over the magical beasts and has them crush Rakshas, which gives Silat the chance to break his mask.
However, Rakshas shifts into his shadow form to hide from the light, with Silat following and realizing that Rakshas is headed for Guts’ cell.
The chapter ends as Rakshas kills the jail guards and slowly creeps towards Guts, preparing to kill him.
