GOODBYE SEISHIRO NAGI! BLUE LOCK CHAPTER 298 SPOILERS!!

This might be the biggest UPSET in the entire Blue Lock story and yet it is so well-deserved.

BLUE LOCK © 2018 by Kaneshiro Muneyuki and Nomura Yuusuke/KODANSHA.

In the previous Blue Lock Chapter, Nagi breaks up with Reo.

Blue Lock Chapter 298 is titled, “Alone Together”

This chapter has 24 pages.

Editor’s note: “Nagi evolves with his ego!  An incomplete “genius” finally flourishes!”

The chapter continues where we left off with Nagi, with an oni aura behind him, telling Reo that the latter no longer has to pass the ball to him and he does not need Reo to win anymore.

Reo is confused and says that if they do not score the next goal, it is over for them but Nagi says that there is no “us” here since due to Reo’s last play, only Nagi needs to prove something.

Reo suggests another combo with him but Nagi says it will not work.

In a way, this insistence on playing alone might have been prophetic as we will see.

Nagi points out that if he works with Reo again, he will be reliant on him again.

From the last chapter, Reo proves that he could handle himself but Nagi needs to do this, for the first time.

The FINAL RESTART begins as Nagi takes the ball, with Bachira surprised to see Nagi’s incredibly high leap.

Agi is delighted to see Nagi finally becoming active.

Mentally, Nagi replaces fear (of not being helped by Reo) with fire and to make Reo disappear from his mind.

However, even if he did not expect this future to happen, he still does not like it as he wants to be with Reo, even if he wants to be the best in the world.

That hesitation would prove costly.

Nagi makes a kick but the Barcha defender immediately realizes this was not aimed for the goal but was meant as a feint.

Otoya steps in to kick the ball away, taking care of this technique.

Nagi is stunned to see Otoya read through his move.

With three players aiming towards him and scared to see them steal his fate, Nagi sends the ball to the direction of Reo, believing that they can win.

ALONE TOGETHER

That was it, their motto to the goal…

But before Reo could receive Nagi’s pass, Bachira takes the ball and declares that by not going alone, Nagi has failed as an egoist.

Then we see the final Blue Lock Rankings:
