Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 Is Coming Soon!
The game series is set to return after more than 12 years.
During the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2023 event on Sunday, Bandai Namco Entertainment teased a new Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi is in the works with a video.
Bandai Namco hasn’t announced any other information like the game’s official title, release date, etc.
The first Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi (Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! in Japan), a 3D-fighting action game was released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2.
The second game, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 (Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! Neo in Japan) was released in October of 2006 for the PlayStation 2 in Japan. As for Europe, North America, and Australia, the game was released in 2006.
The game also received a Wii version, with North America getting it first in November 2006, followed by Japan in 2007, and in Europe and Australia in March and April 2007, respectively.
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 (Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! Meteor in Japan) was released for both the PlayStation 2 and Wii in Japan in October of 2007.
On November 2007, the game was released in North America and Europe on the PlayStation 2.
The game’s Wii version launched in North America in December 2007, and in Europe and Australasia in February 2008.
The most recent game in the series, Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team, launched in August 2010 for the PlayStation Portable. The game is the only one in the Budokai Tenkaichi series released on a handheld console.
