Tokyo Revengers Live-Action Actor Arrested Over Marijuana Possession
The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department searched his apartment in Meguro Ward, Tokyo
On Friday, the NHK reported that Kento Nagayama was arrested by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department on suspicion of possession of marijuana.
Kento, a 34-year-old actor recently played Keisuke Baji in the Tokyo Revengers live-action movie.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department searched his apartment in Meguro Ward, Tokyo, on the night of June 15.
According to the report by NHK, marijuana was found in his house, leading to his arrest the following day.
An investigation into how he came to be in possession of the drug has been launched.
Nagayama entered the world of acting professionally in 2007, and his remarkable performance in the film “Soft Boy” earned him the prestigious Rookie Award at the 32nd Japan Academy Awards in 2010.
Since the release of the movie “Tokyo Revengers 2 Chi no Valentine-hen -Unmei-” on April 21, 2023, Nagayama has portrayed the character Keisuke Baji.
He is set to appear in the upcoming sequel, “Tokyo Revengers 2 Chi no Valentine-hen -Kessen-,” which is the third installment in the live-action film series, scheduled to open in Japan on June 30.
It’s worth noting that, as of the reporting time, the film’s official website and Twitter accounts have not made any announcements.
