Polygon Pictures Reveals New Spider-Man Anime Series
The Polygon Pitcures also shared the logo for the series.
On July 14, Polygon Pictures announced that they are collaborating with Marvel Studios on a new Spider-Man series titled Spider-Man: Freshman Year.
The studio stated that the series would be animated series and also shared the logo for it. However, nothing else has been revealed.
Polygon Pictures is best known in Japan for the two Ajin television anime series and film trilogy, as well as the Godzilla: Kaiju Wakusei film trilogy.
It has also contributed to the animation of 2008’s Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The show won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Class Animated Program two years in a row.
At the 44th Annual Daytime Creative Arts Emmy trophies in 2017, Amazon and Polygon Pictures’ Lost in Oz: Extended Adventure special won three trophies.
In 2016, Goro Miyazaki and Polygon Pictures’ television animation Ronja the Robber’s Daughter won the Animation category at the International Emmy Kids Awards.
Later in 2018, the studio adapted Tsutomu Niei’s Knights of Sidonia and Blame! manga into 3DCG anime films and series and established a joint venture with the manga creator.
