We enter a new stage of the battle between the Meireki Kaiju and Kaiju no. 8
In the previous Kaiju No. 8 Chapter, Kafka reaches the highest possible fortitude as he brings the Daikaiju out of the city and away from everyone.
Kaiju No. 8 Chapter 122 has 25 pages.
The chapter begins with Kafka remarking that it is no surprising that the Meireki Daikaiju has made it unscathed.
Kafka notes that thanks to Kaiju No. 9’s intellect and accumulated powers (especially Weapon No. 2 from the Director-General Isao Shinomiya), the Daikaiju is much stronger than it was 400 years ago.
So Kafka must stop the Daikaiju before the Cataclysm spreads across the world.
The two would tear through a building and then fight in mid-air, shocking Mina and Hoshina.
After being blasted through another building by Kafka, the Daikaiju fires Kaiju No. 2’s Main Burst on the ground.
Angered by the Daikaiju’s attempt to turn Tachikawa Base into a vacant lot, Kafka throws the giant energy ball up to the sky but the Daikaiju continues firing more of No. 2’s bursts, which are able to change trajectory.
Kafka dodges all of them but Gen is frustrated at how easily the Meiriki Kaiju can fire dozens of them while Isao struggled to fire just two.
This makes the Meiriki Kaiju the most outrageous among the Kaiju but what frustrates Gen even more is that Kaiju No. 8 is a cut even above that.
As the blasts land, Kafka warns everyone that “he is coming out” from the Meiriki Kaiju.
What will emerge? A new evolution?
Kaiju No. 8 Chapter 123 will be released on March 13, 2025.
