Jujutsu Kaisen: Complete Shibuya Incident Timeline

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 was a complete bangerfest, releasing phenomenal episodes week after week.

However, many in the community are confused about the proper flow of the Shibuya incident.

Anime-only fans are not the only ones with this confusion; many manga readers also find it difficult to completely understand the flow of events.

So much happened during the arc, and thus we have provided this comprehensive timeline of the events of the Shibuya Incident.

With further ado, let’s begin with the timeline.

October 21, 2018

Utahime informs Nobara, Yuji, and Megumi about Mehcamaru being the traitor as they move towards his hideout.

At some place else, we see Pseudo-Geto and Mahito meeting Kokichi Muta (Mechamaru). Due to binding vow, Mahito heals Kokichi’s body. And then Kokichi uses his entire lair full of his Mechamaru puppets to attack the cursed spirit and the cursed user.

In the resulting fight, Mahito comes out victorious, killing Kokichi Muta.

October 31, 2018

7:00 p.m., Shibuya: Trapped Citizen.

A curtain gets casts with the Tokyo Branch of the Tokyu Department store at its center. The estimated radius of this curtain was 400 meters.

While the Jujutsu Sorcerer and Assistant Managers were able to freely enter and exit the curtain, civilians were completely trapped inside.

Furthermore, all communication was blocked and needed to be done outside of the curtain.

8:14 p.m., Team Nanami, Team Zenin and Team Kusakabe get Stationed

Grade one sorcerer Kento Nanami is stationed at Exit 13 of the Shibuya Metro Station along with Ino Takuma and Megumi Fushiguro.

Both Ino and Megumi were grade 2 sorcerers who are being assessed for Grade 1 promotion.

Supreme Grade 1 sorcerer Naobito Zenin is stationed at the Restaurant Avenue of Shibuyma Mark City, along with Maki Zenin and Nobara Kugisaki.

Both Maki and Nobara are also being assessed for a Grade 1 promotion.

Grade 1 sorcerer Atsuya Kusakabe is stationed at the Shin Minami entrance of Shibuya Station.

All teams are currently on standby.

8:31 p.m., Doengnzaka Nichime East – 8:38 p.m., Shibuya Hikarie: Satoru Gojo

Satoru Gojo enters the curtain from Bunkamura Way, Doegnzaka Nichome East.

He makes his way to Shibuya Hikarie Skyscraper and enters the first basement, B1F, of the Tokyo Metro line.

8:39 p.m., Aoyama Cemetery: Team Mei Mei enters Shibuya

Grade 1 sorcerer Mei Mei, along with Ui Ui and Yuji Itadori, who were stationed at Aoyama Cemetery, are informed about another curtain at the Meiji Jingumae station.

Mei Mei and her team enter the curtain.

8:40 p.m., Gojo vs the Curses

Gojo jumps down and lands at the Fukutoshin line side of Shibuya Station’s fifth basement (B5F).

He is welcomed by the curses Jogo, Hanami, and cursed Wom: Death Painting, Choso.

In the following 11 minutes, Gojo fights all three enemies and exorcizes Hanami.

8:51 p.m., Meiji-Jingumae station: discovery of more curtains.

At Exit 2 of the Meiji-Jingumae station, Mei Mei and her team learns about a second curtain trapping civilians inside the station.

They also discover a new, smaller curtain that got cast around B5F. This new curtain prevents the entry and exit of Jujutsu sorcerers. Several transfigured humans are occupying B4F of the Fukutoshin line.

Mei Mei theorizes that the caster for the two curtains must be between B1F and B2F. Yuji enters the station via Exit 2 to deal with the curtain caster, while Ui Ui and Mei Mei head to Exit 7 to rescue the civilians at B4F and below.

9:14 p.m., Harajaku/Meiji, Jinguame: Team Mei Mei Regroups

Team Mei Mei reunites and head towards B4F. Upon reaching B4F they realise that Mahito has left the station and his head to Fukutoshin platform (Gojo’s location).

Mahito took the train to Shibuya from B5F of Meiji-Jinguame on the Shin-Toshin line.

9:22 p.m., All Three sorcerer teams enter the curtain

Team Nanami, Team Zenin, and Team Kusakabe enter the original curtain after learning of the existence of the new curtain. Ichiji also gets stabbed in the back by Haruto Shigemo.

9:26 p.m, Gojo Satoru is sealed

With Mahito’s entrance to that station, many transfigured humans enters the station, killing civilians indescriminately.

Gojo uses his domain for a mere 0.2 seconds, enough to incapacitate everyone on the platform. Within the following 299 seconds, the strongest sorcerers annihilate every single transfigured human released on the platform B5F.

As Gojo ends his spree, Pseudo-Geto employs Prison Realm and reveals himself to Gojo. Utilizing Gojo’s shock, Geto gives the prison realm enough time to capture Gojo.

This is when Pseudo-Geto reveals his true identity as Kenjaku.

9:27 p.m., Mechamaru’s failsafe

After Gojo’s sealing, a smaller puppet of Mechamaru contacts Yuji and reveals that Gojo has been sealed.

Meanwhile, after capturing Gojo, it tries to process the strongest sorcerer, and it drops straight to the ground. The prison realm has become nigh impossible to move for a certain time due to Gojo being sealed inside.

Yuji runs outside the station and yells the information from the top of the building while calling for Nanami.

Nanami and his team meet Yuji on the building and decide to break in two. While Nanami moves to Shibuya station, Yuji, Megumi, and Ino are tasked with finding the sorcerer who cast the curtain outside and taking them down.

9:30 p.m., Shibuya Station B4F: The game of curses

The curses are divided into groups. First, Mahito and Chooso want to kill Yuji. Second, Kenjaku and Jogo want to awaken Sukuna.

The curses decide that whoever finds Yuji first can carry out their will. Mahito runs away while dividing himself in two.

Kenjaku stays behind to keep an eye on prison realm.

9:40 p.m., Nobara and Akari encouters Haruta

Nobara and Akari split from Team Zenin to check on Ichiji and run into Haruta Shigemo. Haruta manages to hurt Akari, while Nobara tries to attack Haruta.

Unfortunately, Nobara is unable to land a single hit on Haruto due to his cursed technique.

Nanami joins the fight and completely destroys Haruta for attacking Ichiji and many other assistants.

10:01 p.m., C Tower, Shibuya – Curtain Caster Located

Yuji, Megumi, and Ino deduce the location of the caster at the top of the C-C- Tower.

While Ino fought Granny Ogami and her grandson at the top of the tower, Megumi and Yuji fought Jiro Awasaka.

During the fight, Granny also summons the spirit of Toji Zenin into her grandson.

10:02 p.m., Mei Mei and Ui Ui Vs Smallpox Curse

As Mei Mei and Ui Ui move forward toward Gojo’s location, they encounter Kenjaku (Pseudo Geto for them).

Kenjaku then releases the Smallpox Deity-Cursed Spirit and goes back to the prison realm.

The tag team effortlessly defeats the cursed spirit and faces Kenjaku again.

10:04 p.m., Megumi and Yuji disband

Megumi and Yuji deduce Awasaka’s cursed technique and defeat him. While Toji, after getting summoned, goes rogue, defeats Ino, and kills Ogami.

Megumi catches the falling Ino. The victorious duo decides that Megumi will take Ino back to Shoko while Yuji moves forward to fight curses.

10:10 p.m., Yuji vs Choso

As Yuji enters the Shibuya station, Choso intercepts him, and a heated battle ensues between them.

Choso heavily injures Yuji and defeats him. However, just before Choso could kill him, a unique vision came to his mind.

The vision showed Choso and his brothers, who were having a picnic with Yuji as brothers. This completely breaks Choso.

10:20 p.m., Toji vs Dagon

Nanami meets with Naobito and Maki and decides to move towards Gojo’s location. Along the way, they encounter Dagon, who traps them in his domain.

Megumi breaks inside Dagon’s domain by creating a hole through his domain. The three were previously trapped, trying to escape the domain, but instead Toji entered the domain through the hole.

Toji snatches the playful cloud and fights Dagon, killing him in the process. He then threw Megumi outside the building and fought with him.

Jogo suddenly appears near Nanami, Maki, and Naobito. He then sets all three on fire.

10:51 p.m., Sukuna Awakens

Mimiko and Nanako find Yuji at the Shibuya station where Choso left him. While they fed unconscious Yuji one of Sukuna’s fingers, Jogo also arrived.

He fed 10 Sukuna fingers to Yuji in one go, causing Yuji’s body to be unable to hold Sukuna in.

After awakening, he kills Mimiko and Nanako for their arrogance and challenges Jogo.

He challenges Jogo to land a hit on him, and in return, he will kill every single human except one.

10:51 p.m., Megumi Vs Toji

Megumi is still fighting Toji. As the fight follows, Toji continues to dominate the fight, injuring Megumi heavily.

Fortunately for Megumi, Toji’s soul completely takes over the body of the host, and the memories of Megumi come to his mind.

Toji then asks his opponent for his name. After listening, Megumi was still using Fushiguro (name of Megumi’s foster mother) and not Zenin, Toji took his own life.

As Megumi was trying to go towards Shoko, Haruta attacks Megumi from the back.

11:01 p.m., In front of Shibuya Stream, Jogo’s Maximum Meteor

Kusakabe and Panda run into Geto’s retainers, who have now joined Kenjaku. However, the battle comes to an halt as the king of curses suddenly appears in front of them.

Jogo unleashes his Maximum Meteor on Sukuna, bringing Kusakaba, Panda, and retainers in the field of impact.

However, Kusakabe and Panda successfully evade, as does Sukuna. After which, Sukuna kills Jogo while fielding fire.

Just after that, Uraume arrives, seeing whom Sukuna seemed to et delighted.

11:05 p.m., Mahoraga

To defeat Haruta, Megumi summons Mahoraga and begins the ritual. Upon appearing, Mahoraga attacks Megumi, putting him in a state of suspended animation.

Sukuna senses something is wrong with Megumi and rushes towards his location.

He then fights Mahoraga to exorcise him after healing Megumi. During the fight, Sukuna deploys his domain, Malovolent Shine.

His domain decimates every living and non-living thing within the 140-meter radius area. After defeating Mahiraga, Sukuna also kills Haruta.

11:09 p.m., Todo enters Shibuya

Aoi Todo and Arata Nitta enter Shbuya station BF5 and encounter the civilians effected by Gojo’s domain.

After rescuing them, they move inward.

11:14 p.m., Nanami’s death

After delivering Megumi near Shoko, Sukuna allows Yuji to witness the devastation he has caused.

Yuji begins to break; however, he brings himself back and moves inside Shibuya station.

After entering the station, he witnesses Mahito killing Nanami. And the battle between the two begins.

At the same time, at Shoto Bunkamura Street, Nobara re-enters the curtain.

11:19 p.m., Nobara vs Mahito (double)

Nobara encounters Mahito’s double. As soon as Nobara figures out she is fighting a double, the curse starts running and enters the station, leading Nobara towards Yuji.

While the Mahito leads Yuji towards his double. As both Mahito and his double meet, they switch using Nobara’s blind spot, and Mahito fatally injures her.

This completely breaks Yuji.

At the same time, Todo enters the scene and encourages Yuji, while Nitta applies his cursed technique on Nobara.

Nitta then takes Nobara to a medical camp while Todo and Yuji fight Mahito.

11:28 p.m., Panda rescues Kusakabe

Panda finds Kusakabe trapped beneath the rubble near the Shibuya stream. While walking back with Panda, he declares that he supports Yuji’s execution.

At the same time, after analyzing his new fake memory, Choso starts to question his relationship with Yuji and attempts to find him.

11:36 p.m., Kenjaku Vs Sorcerers

Mei Mei and Ui Ui fled Japan and are currently in Malaysia.

Around the same time, Yuji and Todo manage to defeat Mahito with great effort and sacrifice. In the battle, Todo comes out, losing his left arm.

As Yuji moves towards Mahito to finish him, Kenjaku appears and absorbs the cursed spirit.

Other sorcerers also arrive at the scene and attempt to fight Kenjaku. Uruame arrives to his aid, while Choso claims Yuji as his brother and Geto as an imposter, revealing that he is Kenjaku.

Kenjaku uses Uzumaki to use Mahito’s cursed technique, Idle Transfiguration, on every human he has marked.
