How Did Yuji Unlock His Domain Expansion?

In Chapter 264 of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, after Angel fails to finish off Sukuna, Todo uses his body to protect her, and the immense pressure on Yuji allows him to unlock a previous memory to guarantee that his Soul Slash hits, hence unlocking the Domain Expansion.

While this sums it up, there’s a lot to unpack here!

In the chapter, Sukuna has finally healed his arms thanks to black flash that restored his RCT Output.

In Chapter 258 we learn that he established a unique relay to disperse the burden of using it to a separate section in his brain.

Before hand, Yuji’s soul punches trampled on his desire to bring his arms back, but the sparks of black returned to it’s master, which allowed him to do Domain Expansion.

And Although Yuji made Sukuna Vomit via Cleave in Chapter 263 which should have stopped his RCT yet again, entering the awakened state has proven to be fruitful as the Black Flash on Todo reaped a reward.
