Jujutsu Kaisen: Is Yuji Stronger Than Megumi? Yuji Itadori Vs Megumi Fushiguro Explained!
Yuji released domain expansion Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 264.
The first two characters introduced in the series were Yuji and Megumi, and fans quickly made them rivals.
Although manga never explicitly explored the duo as rivals, both of their growth and feats have managed to establish their rivalry.
Now, Megumi fans may call him stronger than Yuji, claiming his trump card is Mahoraga, and Yuji cannot win against Mahoraga.
That is for sure!
However, as Megumi can’t really control Mahoraga, both him and Yuji will die.
So, let’s start with that!
Megumi, the Prodigy
From the start of the series, Megumi Fushiguro has repeatedly established himself as a prodigy by showing off his skill in assessing enemies techniques, patterns, and weaknesses, all while coming up with proper countermeasures.
Furthermore, in his fight against Dagon, Megumi not only broke and entered the curse’s domain but also fought the domain battle for quite some time.
He later showed his smarts in his fight against Reggie Star.
Megumi is such a prodigy that even Yuta and Gojo could not do it!
Both Yuta and Gojo achieved their domains during their third and second years, while Megumi achieved domain expansion in his first year!
Although it was an incomplete domain, Megumi did show immense potential with that feat.
What Makes Yuji Better Than Megumi?
With these feats, Megumi had established himself as stronger than Yuji, however, when it comes to physical abilities, Yuji has always been stronger than Megumi.
We know that, due to Kenjaku’s meddling during Yuji’s birth, he was born with immense physician strength.
However, unlike Megumi, Yuji can now use the reversed curse technique and is blessed by the black sparks. In his fight against Sukuna with four arms, Yuji landed black flashes after black flashes like it was his cursed technique.
Even Gojo or Sukuna could not achieve such a feat.
In his current stage, he can easily defeat special grade curses like Jogo or Mahito. When Maki and Yuji fought Sukuna, Yuji was able to keep up with their pace right after taking numerous slashes from Sukuna.
Yuji had no cursed technique and still was able to stop Sukuna from using his body. As the series progressed, Yuji became stronger and stronger, like a freaking Saiyan.
Another feat that sets Yuji apart from others is his ability to have two cursed techniques.
Although Yuji began with no cursed technique, having Sukuna inside him caused his body to absorb his cursed technique. This phenomenon, in conjecture to his lineage by being the son of the soul of Sukuna’s brother that he ate, allowed Yuji to unlock his own version of Sukuna’s shrine technique.
And, by eating the remaining death painting, he gained their cursed technique, Blood Manipulation, the inherited technique of the Kamo Clan.
So, Yuji now has two different cursed techniques. This is very rare, as it is said that having two cursed techniques will fry the sorcerer’s brains.
The only sorcerers beside Yuji to have multiple techniques are Kenjaku and Yuta.
And now, in chapter 264, he created his own domain, in the midst of his battle with Sukuna, and that too was a domain with a complete barrier.
With this, he has surpassed not only Megumi but also Yuta and Gojo. Both Megumi and Gojo trained themselves using their cursed technique from early childhood, and both received their respective clans’ inherited cursed technique. And it still took them so much time to learn domain expansion.
White Yuji began his Jujutsu sorcerer journey in his teenage years. Although Yuta also joined the world of Jujutsu around the same age, he had a crushed technique and the queen of cures with him.
