Mina Ashiro Is About To END the Meireki Daijaku! Kaiju No. 8 Chapter 125 Review!
Mina is about to use her biggest gun yet to take down the strongest Kaiju but will it be enough?
In the previous Kaiju No. 8 chapter, Kikoru Shinomiya is revealed to be compatible with four Numbers Weapons and works with Kafka to save her father from the Meireki Daikaiju.
Kaiju No. 8 Chapter 125 has 27 pages.
The chapter continues where we left off as Kafka’s attacks now connect with the Daikaiju’s, confirming how he is the key to destroying the core.
However, there is a problem as Kikoru is overheating too early, confirming that she is still not good with the spare Numbers Weapon One eyes, not to mention using Numbers Weapon 4 combat suit at the same time.
Soshiro is worried about Kikoru not lasting long.
Meanwhile, Kafka sees that with the Meireki Daikaiju being able to use No. 9’s abilities, it will protect the core with a more condensed shield, thus requiring even more power than what he already has.
Mina says that she will break the core out with Keraunos.
Kikoru goes through the Meireki Daikaiju’s multiple “decoy” cores from absorbing so many Kaiju but the strain causes Kikoru’s combat power to drain, first dropping by 12%.
While doing so, she flashes back to her past, recalling how she did overhear her mother Hikari say that she will harden her own heart to train Kikoru while Isao will be the one to spoil her with love, so when Hikari passed away, he took on that role.
This resolve enables Kikoru to find the main core buried within so much dense flesh and shares the information.
Attempting to wrangle the core out, Kikoru flies forward but is slammed by the Daikaiju, losing another 15% of her combat power and hitting her limit.
However, Kikoru rises, refusing to be saved by anyone and intends to surpass her parents and her captain.
Kafka finally pushes the Daikaiju within range of Mina’s railgun.
Okonogi relays Kikoru’s shared intel to Mina as the chapter ends as Mina locks on the Keraunos, the Anti-Giant-Class Kaiju Rail Gun
