The first set of Dragon Ball Daima leaks are out and it looks like the storyline drafted by the late Akira Toriyama is heading deep into the Demon Realm. Toriyama stated in his comments that he was more involved with it than usual and that Dragon Ball Daima will close in on the mysteries of the Dragon Ball world, so it’s safe to say that the upcoming series wouldn’t be just fight fight boom boom blam!

According to the leaks, Dragon Ball Daima will address a plot point that was kept open way back in Dragon Ball Z. Remember Dabura, the King of the Demon Realm? The dude Babidi had under his spell? Yeah, it seems he is quite a big deal back in his realm.

Now that he’s dead, thanks to Majin Buu, the position of the King of the Demon Realm is now open and several demons are now aiming to take over the throne. It also involves a huge conspiracy that forced Goku and the Supreme Kai to get involved. Check this article out for more details!

However, the highlight amongst the early leaks is that the new version of Majin Buu is set to appear in the series. Not a new form of the current Majin Buu that we know and love but a completely different one created by the Makaioshin or the Supreme Kai counterpart, overseeing the Demon Realm.

According to Geekdom101 on YouTube, this new Majin Buu will be a completely different one from Fat Buu or any of the other forms.

However, neither this Majin Buu, the Makaioshin nor the new Demon King are the main antagonists of Dragon Ball Daima.

But the new Majin Buu does intrigue the fandom. Will this version of Majin Buu be the strongest we’ve seen, including the manga? If Toriyama’s earlier words of creating villains stronger than the previous ones hold true, then yes, this new Majin Buu may be the strongest.

Nevertheless, these are the leaks that have been revealed so far and do take them with a pinch of salt.

Despite the lack of promotion for DaimaBandai Namco UK’s Brand Manager affirms that the new series will have a lot of surprises in store for both new and old fans alike.

Dragon Ball Daima was first announced at New York Comic Con 2023 where they revealed the first trailer and the 2nd trailer was unveiled at the DRAGON BALL Game Battle Hour 2024 event in Jan 2024.

According to rumors, Dragon Ball Daima will run for 20 odd episodes and the singer for Dragon Ball’s 1st opening theme “Makafushigi Adventure!, Hiroki Takahashi, will sing the opening theme song for the upcoming series.

About Dragon Ball:

Dragon Ball is a manga series by Akira Toriyama. It first began its serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1984.

The manga was later adapted into a multitude of animated series, movies, and games.

The franchise consists of five different anime series, about 21 animated movies, and around 10 games spanning various platforms, from Famicon to Playstation and Xbox.

Synopsis of the Dragon Ball anime:

Goku Son is a young boy who lives in the woods all alone—that is, until a girl named Bulma runs into him in her search for a set of magical objects called the “Dragon Balls.”

Since the artefacts are said to grant one wish to whoever collects all seven, Bulma hopes to gather them and wish for a perfect boyfriend.

Goku happens to be in possession of a dragon ball, but unfortunately for Bulma, he refuses to part ways with it, so she makes him a deal: he can tag along on her journey if he lets her borrow the dragon ball’s power.

With that, the two set off on the journey of a lifetime.
