Twitter’s manga expert @MangaMoguraRE shared the list of the Top 10 Most Sold Manga for Female Readers in 2023, according to Ameba Manga, a manga store and ranking site.
For those living under a rock, female manga readers mostly read Shoujo manga. Magazines like Ribon, Nakayoshi, and Ciao, for example, are geared toward young girls, whereas Margaret is aimed at a little older demographic. Most Shoujo manga magazines feature stories about romantic relationships, whether it’s first love in middle school, love triangles in high school, or romantic encounters between coworkers at the office.
Topping the list is Akatsuki no Yona (Yona of the Dawn), followed by Kusuriya no Hitorigoto (The Apothecary Diaries), My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999, Honey Lemon Soda and so on.
