Ao Ashi to End in Volume 40
Ao Ashi will have finished its 10 year run by the middle of 2025.
On December 25, 2024, Ao Ashi is announced to end by the release of volume 40.
Football Sports Manga “Ao Ashi” vol 39 by Yuugo Kobayashi” will be out April 30, 2025.
The series will end soon in 2 volumes with the current Barcelona match and will have 40 volumes in total.

On May 26, 2021, over 3 years ago and by the release of Volume 24, Yūgo Kobayashi stated that Ao Ashi is not far from ending
Yuugo Kobayashi announces that there are not many volumes left before the end of “Ao Ashi”.

On December 27, 2024, Ao Ashi announced that Volume 39 would be released on April 30, 2025.
Since September 2018, Yūgo Kobayashi also currently has a monthly manga titled, “Fermat no Ryōri” (Fermet’s Cuisine), a cooking story of a chef and a math genius working together in the former’s restaurant.
About Ao Ashi
Ao Ashi is a manga written and illustrated by Yūgo Kobayashi for Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine on January 5, 2015, reaching 38 volumes.
By September 2024, the manga had over 21 million copies in circulation.
Production I.G. produced an anime adaptation that aired 24 episodes from April 9 to September 24, 2022.
No sequel has yet to be announced.
