Attack on Titan has finally reached the 1 billion mark in the box office. Would this motivate a theatrical release beyond East and Southeast Asia?

As predicted, after nearly a month in Japanese theaters, the Attack on Titan: The Last Attack movie has reached 1 billion Japanese yen (6.65 million USD)

To celebrate the milestone, Pony Canyon’s Youtube channel released the first 8 minutes of the movie, which are an adaptation of pages 13 and 14 of Chapter 1: “To You, 2,000 Years From Now” that were not adapted in full in the original WIT Studio Season 1 adaptation, and the first 22 pages of Chapter 131: “The Rumbling”, ending in Ramzi’s death.

The most noticeable changes are shown in the title card, where the sky and clouds have a slight yellow tint around them to indicate that the Rumbling has arrived in Marley in the morning.

“Attack on Titan: The Last Attack” is the movie format of the two special episodes released between March and November of 2023 and covers the final 9 chapters of the manga.

Attack on Titan’s New Post-Credits Scene HIDES AN EVEN BIGGER TWIST ENDING

Notably, this version features an additional few minutes of new footage, including the 2-minute post credits scene featuring future versions of the main trio, Eren, Mikasa, and Armin.
