Thanks to the Norma Editorial for covering the brief Q&A.
During the art signing, Tabata answers a few questions, such as how he spends his free time with his family, not expecting Black Clover to be popular in Spain, and how he did not have the entire story planned out fully.
Tabata expressed surprise at how the Black Clover manga is considered the so-called “besto shonen” yet he feels like he is drawing the “best” manga.
Tabata has also confirmed that the character of Charmy Papitson of the Black Bulls is based on Tabata’s own wife, which would indicate a love of food on the wife’s part.
Finally, Tabata notes that he had always intended for the rivalry between the two protagonists, Asta and Yuno, to be friendly and healthy compared to most rivalries that have been shown, particularly in Naruto.
Tomorrow, December 6, 2024, will be the official Q&A panel to ask deeper questions on the Black Clover series.
