Blue Lock Manga Has Crossed 40 Million Copies In Circulation Worldwide!

In Nov 2023, Blue Lock created history by becoming the first manga published by Kodansha to rank #1 in Oricon’s yearly best-selling list.

Twitter’s manga expert, @MangaMoguraRE, posted on July 6, 2024, that Blue Lock manga is standing strong worldwide in terms of sales.

It has sold over 40 million copies for volumes 1 to 29, including digital copies.

In Nov 2023, Blue Lock created history by becoming the first manga published by Kodansha to rank #1 in Oricon’s yearly best-selling list, where it outsold Jujutsu Kaisen and One Piece. Blue Lock sold over 10.5 million copies in 2023, followed by Jujutsu Kaisen and One Piece at 8.5 million and 7.1 million, respectively.

Blue Lock Season 2 will begin airing on Oct 5, 2024 and it will have a total of 14 episodes.

About Blue Lock:

Blue Lock is a Football manga series written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since August 2018, with its chapters collected in 28 tankōbon volumes as of March 2024.

In October 2022 to March 2023, an anime television series adaptation created by Eight Bit was broadcast. A forthcoming anime film adaptation, derived from the Episode Nagi manga, is scheduled to make its debut in April 2024. The confirmation of a second season has been made as well.
