Chainsaw Man Author Recommends New Dark Fantasy Manga
Chainsaw Man’s Tatsuki Fujimoto seems to resonate with the dark fantasy atmosphere and monsters of Centuria, which could hopefully draw in more fans for the new manga.

Centuria is a dark fantasy manga written and illustrated by Tohru Kuramori for the Shonen Jump + app on April 8, 2024.
The series currently has 25 chapters, with 2 volumes out and 3 story arcs.
The manga was nominated for the 2024 Next Manga Awards in the Best Web Manga category and ranked seventh out of 69 nominees
Centurria is set in a medieval world where a blacksmith boy, Julian, is caught as a stowaway on a slave ship and bonds with a pregnant slave woman named Mira, giving him the first experience he has of true motherly love.
However, the slave owner kills every slave for a profit in the middle of a stormy sea.
A mysterious sea monster appears and offers to give Julian the lives and strength of the 100 men and women that died, allowing him to escape and enter the continent.
