Chainsaw Man Author’s Look Back Anime Movie Releases A Trailer Celebrating 1 Billion Yen Box Office Collection!
Given Look Back’s success, there’s ample opportunity that another one of Chainsaw Man mangaka’s one-shots will be adapted, say, Goodbye Eri?
The movie adaptation of Chainsaw Man author Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Look Back manga is shaping up to be a big success at the Japanese box office!
Thus far, as of July 16, 599,731 people have watched the anime film “Look Back,” which premiered on June 28. Using the current conversion rate between USD and JPY, the film has made around $6,300,000 (¥1,017,961,780) at the box office.
To celebrate the 1 Billion yen revenue milestone, the staff members unveiled a new trailer, featuring the main characters of Look Back, Ayumu Fujino and Kyomoto.
The success, while obviously credited to all the staff members behind the film, Kiyotaka Oshiyama should receive special attention, given that he was staying in the office for the last two and a half years during the movie’s production and finally slept at his own house after the film’s done.
He wanted to make his vision manifest on screen, thereby making the film a bit different from the manga. As a result, Japanese fans LOVED the movie and the changes the director brought forth. So there’s ample opportunity that another one of Chainsaw Man mangaka’s one-shots will be adapted, say, Goodbye Eri?
