On December 9, 2024, the official Aniplex Youtube channel released a trailer for the upcoming “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle” movie and confirmed that it will only be shown in theaters in 2025.

The trailer shows scenes from the final episode of Season 4 (Hashira Training Arc) that had just concluded in 2024, beginning with Muzan and Kagaya Ubuyashiki’s debate on eternity

Both Japanese and English versions were released on the same day.

Animated by ufotable (Fate/Zero, Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works, Heaven’s Feel Movie Trilogy), Demon Slayer anime has gained incredible popularity, such that its manga sales continue to grow even after the manga ended in 2020.

There have also been reports of animators from Toei Animation (One Piece & Dragon Ball) transferring over to the Demon Slayer final movie trilogy

However, this is actually the CGI staff of Toei Animation simply delivering another project rather than outright leaving.

The success of its feature film “Demon Slayer the Movie: Mugen Train”, which adapted Chapters 54 to 66 of the manga, has made the movie format a lucrative way to adapt the final chapters of the hit manga.

Mugen Train has accumulated $507.1 million in the international box office from a $15.7 million budget.

Two compilations films were released after. “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – To the Swordsmith Village” , released in February 3, 2023 has earned $56.3 million internationally, while “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – To the Hashira Training ” released in February 2, 2024 has earned $44.4 million.

The Infinity Castle Arc will cover Chapters 140 to 205, making this the longest arc of the entire series.
