Hideaki Anno Says That We’ll Have More Evangelion But It Won’t Be From Him
There are currently no set plans for the franchise.
On Wednesday, in a recent interview with Asahi Shimbun, director Hideaki Anno stated that there might be plans for the Evangelion franchise, although he might not work on the newer releases.
He went on to say that while he is not ruling out the idea of more installments in the future, there are currently no set plans for the franchise.
As of November 2022, the firm exhibited the last movie of Anno’s redesigned Evangelion tetralogy, Evangelion: 3.0+1.01: Thrice Upon A Time (Shin Evangelion Gekijō-ban :||), at a few IMAX theaters across the United States.
The same December, the movie was shown in American theaters. The movie Evangelion: 3.0+1.01: Thrice Upon A Time (Shin Evangelion Gekijō-ban:||) was published by GKIDS in October 2023 on Blu-ray Disc and Collector’s Edition 4K UHD.
