Harris was the narrator of the English dub of Dragon Ball Z anime under Ocean Productions, a Canadian media production company that was the first to dub the Dragon Ball anime.
Harris has been the Ocean dub narrator from 1996 to 2003 for 223 episodes and 3 Dragon Ball movies.
In the Funimation dub, that role has been taken up by Kyle Hebert, the voice actor for adult Gohan.
Born Gilbert Auchinleck in 1948, Harris has had many monikers in his long-spanning carrier, mostly being involved in radio broadcasting in Canadian radio stations since 1966 and making his first on-air debut in Toronto’s CFTR in 1971 as “Doc Holiday”.
While in broadcast, Harris has been lending his voice in the world of anime, from “Dragon Ball Z” to “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic”, as well as numerous roles in video games such as a Robot in “Hulk”.
