Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Part 7 Anime is IN PRODUCTION

On December 12, 2024, it is reported that David Productions has begun work on Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 7: Steel Ball Run

There have already been rumors regarding this release for some time.

This has caused some concern from a number of anime fans as they worry about the rushed or stressful production involved due to the studio’s other major projects in 2025 onwards, namely Fire Force Final Season and Undead Unluck Season 2.

Others have commented that this aligns with some auspicious dates as 2026 is the Year of the Horse in the Chinese Zodiac, indicating the possibility of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure returning in 2026, also in time for Fire Force to finish its run.

Steel Ball Run covers the first story in the new universe, this time set in the United States of America in 1890, decades after the Civil War as racing jockeys from all over the world flock for the Steel Ball Run cross-country horse race from San Diego to New York City.

This new universe’s Jojo is Johnny Joestar, a former jockey turned paraplegic who joins the race due to Gyro Zeppeli, another participant, and his Steel Balls that held the key to restoring his ability to walk.
