Jujutsu Kaisen Author Reveals That Mahoraga Was Always Going To Be Involved In Gojo’s Death!
This seemed to be the most convincing way for Gege Akutami
During a recent interview, the author of the Jujutsu Kaisen Manga, Gege Akutami answered numerous questions related to the series. One such question was about Mahoraga and its involvement in the death of Gojo Satoru.
The question was: “Was there any incentive for revealing the existence of Mahoraga, the trump card of Fushiguro’s Ten Shadows Technique?”
A: I thought that if I should show real proof for Sukuna’s interest towards Fushiguro, then it’d have to be in Shibuya. By this point, I was already discussing the more final points (this and this and this) of how Sukuna would defeat Gojo. Since I had already decided that Sukuna would take over Fushiguro’s body”.
From Gege’s words, it is evident that he wanted Mahoraga to be a part of Gojo’s death. To him, using Sukuna’s interest in the cursed technique to include Mahoraga in the fight seemed to be the most convenient and sensible path.
This does leave room for discussion about Sukuna though, as it also implies that Gege Akutami thought of other possibilities where Sukuna might have defeated Gojo without Fushiguro!
