So it is as important to learn about them as much as their offspring, whom we all love and cherish.

There would be no Jujutsu Kaisen without Gojo Satoru and there would be no Gojo Satoru without his parents.

No, I’m not talking about Gege Akutami, I’m talking about his BIOLOGICAL parents in the story of Jujutsu Kaisen. Gojo mentioned that 80% of talent in a sorcerer stems from genetics, which tells us why he and Yuta are so skilled in jujutsu with high cursed energy reserves.

So it is as important to learn about them as much as their offspring, whom we all love and cherish.

While answering many questions about Gojo in a recent Q&A, Gege Akutami reveals some crucial information about Gojo’s parents and whether they are alive or not in the first place.

Are Gojo’s parents alive or dead?

Yes, Gojo’s parents are still alive! But their significance ended when they gave birth to Gojo himself, as they themselves are not as strong as Jujutsu sorcerers.

“Q: Are Gojo’s parents still alive?
A: They’re alive. They’ve gained a higher status within the Gojo clan by giving birth to Gojo Satoru, but they’re not particularly strong as Jujutsu sorcerers, so they were separated with Gojo at a young stage. (Because they can’t be involved in his education as a Jujutsu sorcerer.)”

And since Gojo did not have any other siblings, it makes sense as to why Gojo grew up quite pampered by his family, essentially being treated as a king and spoiled rotten.

We see Gojo doing whatever he wants, and it’s clear that they have placed complete faith in him as their leader, since having the Six Eyes automatically makes you the clan head. That’s because he was the first person in approximately four hundred years to inherit both the Limitless inherited technique and the Six Eyes.

After he was born, the balance of power shifted, and Gojo had a bounty worth over a hundred million put on his head and was targeted by bounty hunters, however, they were ultimately powerless before him.

Yuji Itadori is a boy with tremendous physical strength, though he lives a completely ordinary high school life.

One day, to save a classmate who has been attacked by curses, he eats the finger of Ryomen Sukuna, taking the curse into his own soul.

From then on, he shares one body with Ryomen Sukuna.

Guided by the most powerful of sorcerers, Satoru Gojo, Itadori is admitted to Tokyo Jujutsu High School, an organization that fights the curses… and thus begins the heroic tale of a boy who became a curse to exorcise a curse, a life from which he could never turn back.
