On 24 March 2023, Jujutsu Kaisen’s official website released a new key visual for Jujutsu Kaisen season 2.

The website also revealed that the season will start airing on 6 July 2023. The story description on the official season2 website state:
Gojo and Geto were later called the ‘Strongest sorcerer’ and ‘Worst Sorcerer’ respectively. The past of two people who took different paths will be revealed.
The Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen will cover volumes 8 and 9 of the manga covering Gojo’s past arc.
