Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Update Revealed

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 dazzled the fandom with its non-stop fights, breathtaking animation, and a gripping storyline where humans and curses do battle in modern Japan’s cityscape.

The series heads into a new development with the Culling Games.

During Juju Fest 2024. MAPPA confirms that “the ‘Culling Games’ sequel is currently in production”.

This comes alongside news of the Hidden Inventory Arc being compiled into a 105-minute movie

On December 28, 2023, MAPPA announced that they would continue the Jujutsu Kaisen anime into Season 3: The Culling Games.

However, this has not fully confirmed their production status until the announcement. 

There is no confirmed date of release.

The Chainsaw Man movie is also among MAPPA’s priority projects, likely set for 2025 and without a confirmed date. 

The Culling Games is the ritual that pseudo-Geto initiates after using Idle Transfiguration on the populace of Japan, both regular humans and vessels for ancient sorcerers.

Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami for serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump since March 2018.

The series has published in 27 tankōbon volumes as of July 2024.

The Jujutsu Kaisen anime adaptation premiered on October 2020 under the direction of Sunghoo Park (The God of High School series director).

Season 2 premiered on July 2023 under the direction of Shota Goshozono (Chainsaw Man, Ranking of Kings episode director).

Jujutsu Kaisen is named as Most Popular Anime in Guinness World Records 2025 due to its immense popularity with Gen Z and younger audiences in general.
