Nanami’s VA Kenjiro Tsuda From Jujutsu Kaisen Joins The Cast Of Golden Kamuy Live-Action Film
The film is scheduled to premiere on January 19.
On January 18, the official website for the live-action film adaptation of Golden Kamuy announced that voice actor Kenjiro Tsuda will play the role of the film’s narrator.
Tsuda has also been the voice actor of Hyakunosuke Ogata in the Golden Kamuy anime series since 2018.
He is also the voice actor of fan favorite Nanami Kento from Jujutsu Kaisen.
The official Golden Kamui live-action website writes, “At the preview event held the other day, Tsuda’s voice could be heard as soon as the film started, then surprise reverberated throughout the venue.”
Kenjiro Tsuda commented as follows regarding this role:
“To be honest, I was very hesitant about participating. I had played the role of Hyakunosuke Ogata in the anime version, and I wondered if I would interfere with the worldview of the live-action version by narrating the story. Would I confuse the audience? I thought about many things. At the same time, however, I thought that Golden Kamuy has power and scale that blow away such small things. Yes, this is a work that mixes seriousness and comedy, good and evil, and runs with intense energy. That’s why it’s okay. It should swallow everything and shine with intense light. And above all, I love Golden Kamuy. I am very honored to have participated as a narrator in this film. Please don’t think about the details and come to the theater. I am sure you will enjoy it.”
The film is scheduled to premiere on January 19.

The film is based on Shigeaki Kubo’s manga, Golden Kamuy. He published the manga in Shueisha’s Young Jump magazine in 2014 and completed its run in April 2022.
Golden Kamuy received its first anime adaptation in April 2018. Later in October 2018, the second season of the anime premiered.
The third season premiered in October 2020, and the first part of season four premiered in October 2022, airing only six episodes.
Production delayed the other episode due to the passing of a main staff member of the anime on November 1.
The anime then continued its broadcast on April 3 by rebroadcasting the first episode.
Anime has already been greenlit for its final arc.
