Farewell to Kazuki Yao
Starting off his message with Franky’s signature line, “Super!”, Oda expresses gratitude to Kazuki Yao for portraying Franky and welcomes Subaru Kimura (Aoi Todo from Jujutsu Kaisen) as the new voice actor.
Yao and Kimura were on stage as well for Yao to pass the baton to Kimura.
Every Major One Piece Milestone in 2024
Oda would then list down the many milestones of 2024, such as the 25th anniversary of the anime, the launch of One Piece Base App and the opening of the Harajuku Mugiwara Store.
Oda also thanks the audience for their fan letters and outpour of support during these events.

Oda expressed his enjoyment over his time with the cast and crew of the live-action adaptation of One Piece in South Africa, where the Netflix show is being filmed.
Seeing their dedication has inspired Oda and seemingly continued his strong involvement with the product.
Future One Piece Plans
Oda emphasizes the importance of exploring new horizons for the One Piece franchise, including live-action adaptations, and promises his full effort across all mediums (manga, anime, film, live-action).
Oda did take a two-week break due to his trip to South Africa and to help with research for the live-action, indicating his continued commitment towards these projects, to the point of taking manga writing breaks.
So far, Oda has shown this peculiar devotion to the live-action and not the anime, although that could happen if the anime has other plans outside focusing on manga canon.
Then again, there is that upcoming and unannounced One Piece movie looming on the horizon.
There will more announcements for One Piece in 2025 outside of the manga, anime and the live-action adaptation.
Could this be a hint towards the WIT Remake being done at last?
Oda’s message seems to also suggest plans for beyond the manga that he can be involved with within his lfietime.
Oda also teases the return of the anime, which previewed during the Jump Festa event with a trailer for the coming episodes.
The One Piece anime will return on April 6, 2025 with a new timeslot.

One Piece Manga Developments
First, Oda mentions that One Piece has finally reached Elbaph, the Kingdom of the Giants, after 20 years of waiting.
Oda mentions “abnormal phenomena” across other oceans, meaning we will get more plot developments and scenes outside Elbaph just like what Egghead did.
The emphasis on “abnormality” could mean the emergence of new abilities, the disruptions due to the world sinking from the rising sea level revealed in Vegapunk’s message, or the disruptions caused by either the Revolutions or the Holy Knights trying to stamp out the fires of rebellion.
Oda concludes this segment by giving a preview of Chapter 1134 that will be released on January 4, 2024,
A certain man comes to Elbaph to break the calm…!!
This is in reference to the man who resembles Shanks that began appearing in Chapter 907: “The Empty Throne” and his sudden entry in Elbaph concluding the One Piece manga in 2024.
Closing Statement
Oda closes this message, saying the fans should enjoy the current calm, meaning the chapters that have been published, as 2025 will be “another exciting year”
Alongside the message, Oda provided an illustration of Luffy for the Jump Festa 2025.
