One Piece Director Nominated for 2025 Crunchyroll Awards
This One Piece director finally gets the recognition she is due through her most-praised episode.

On April 3, 2025, it was announced that the One Piece anime and One Piece: Fan Letter have both been nominated for the Crunchyroll Awards
One Piece is nominated for Best Continuing Series while One Piece: Fan Letter is nominated for the Best Director Award for Megumi Ishitani.
Megumi Ishitani has established her name in the industry as early as with the final episode of Dragon Ball Super released on March 25, 2018.
She would gain greater recognition for her direction and storyboarding of Episodes 957, 982 and 1015 of the One Piece anime, as well as Opening 25: “The Peak” and Opening 26: “UUUUUS!”
One Piece: Fan Letter stayed at the top of MyAnimeList after its October 20, 2024 release
The Crunchyroll Awards are a yearly community-led award organized by Crunchyroll to recognize anime and the talented people behind them, from directors and composers to voice actors.
