One Piece Makes History in Tokyo
One Piece is a cultural juggernaut that continues to impress its Japanese audience
One Piece always finds a way to make history, from its massive sales to its legacy in Japanese and global culture.
On August 27th, the official One Piece account announced the #OnePieceOnly exhibit that will launch from Wednesday, October 9th, to recognize One Piece as a historical epic in Japanese cultural history.
The Museum of Art in Tachikawa, Tokyo will host the ‘ONE PIECE ONLY‘ exhibition, featuring a massive display of every page from Chapters 1-1110 on a 140-meter-long wall.
This is historic as this is the first time a manga of One Piece’s enduring length has been shown in nearly its entirety before a public audience.
There are also other events that will take place, such as a printing “treasure chest” containing the secret processes on how to create manga. The exhibit will showcase not only the existing manga pages of the One Piece series but also how Oda and other mangaka do their work as mangaka, providing a comprehensive educational experience.
