One Piece Volume 111 Cover Revealed, Loki’s Official Colors Surprise Fanbase
One Piece Volume 111 sets up the Elbaph Arc and has stirred some discourse over Loki’s official colors.
On February 16, 2025, Oda unveiled his sketch for the Volume 111 cover, detailing the process in how he got there.
The cover shows Luffy and the Straw Hats trapped in Road’s Diorama (Zoro, Sanji, Nami, Usopp and Chopper) in their Elbaph Arc outfits, with Luffy holding a giant axe.
Behind them is a chained Accursed Prince, Loki and the background being a green hue in the sketch hints at the overall color scheme of the final version of Volume 111.
Noticeably, Loki’s hair is purple, unlike most version that color his hair blonde.
Oda did consider multiple hair colors for Loki, with blonde, red or pink, until settling on purple.
Loki’s official colors received mixed reactions, with some expressing delight in Oda’s creative decisions and how purple fits his deceiver persona.
Others, however, have expressed disappointment as they expected a character inspired directly from Norse mythology to have more traditional colors.
One Piece Volume 111 will cover Chapter 1122: “Time is Right” to Chapter 1132: “Adventure in Elbaph” and is the first volume cover and colored page for the ongoing Elbaph Arc.
The volume will be released on March 4, 2025.
