On July 3, 2024, Eiichiro Oda and several other manga authors drew illustrations to celebrate Eyeshield 21’s ‘BRAINxBRAVE’ 21st Anniversary. Now, Eyeshield 21 is a manga illustrated by One Punch Man artist Yusuke Murata so due to his popularity, a lot of big manga authors wanted to commemorate the milestone through separate illustrations.

For his drawing, Oda decided to redraw the character Hiruma in his own unique style!

To thank the One Piece author for his kind wishes, Murata, along with Eyeshield 21’s author Riichiro Inagaki, drew an illustration of Luffy in their own unique styles! And fans love it when different manga authors draw characters from their favorite series and Yusuke Murata is widely regarded as one of the BEST artists in the industry right now, so it’d be a treat for One Piece fans and for Oda to see Luffy drawn in THE same quality as One Punch Man.
