Oshi no Ko Season 3 is Set For 2026
Oshi no Ko Season 3 finally has a release date only mere months after the manga concluded.
On February 2, 2025, it was announced that Oshi no Ko Season 3 would be released in 2026.
Along with the announcement came a key visual showing the two protagonists, Aqua and Ruby Hoshino, within a movie set, signifying the focus on the arc being the 15-year Lie movie dedicated to their mother, Ai Hoshino.
With 80 chapters adapted in the anime’s first two seasons so far, Season 3 is expected to reach Chapter 120 or 127 to finish the Pre-production half of the Movie Arc and thus leave 40 chapters for the final season.
About Oshi no Ko
Oshi no Ko (Japanese for “My Star/Idol”) is a manga written by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari (Scum’s Wish) for Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump, beginning in April 23, 2020 and ended on November 14, 2024 with 16 volumes total.
By November 2024, Oshi no Ko had over 20 million copies in circulation.
The anime adaptation began production on April 12, 2023 under Doga Kobo, with Season 2 premiering on July 3, 2024, adapting the first 80 chapters of the story.
Oshi no Ko is the story of Japanese idol Ai Hoshino’s biggest fans, a doctor and his recently deceased patient who were reborn as Ai’s twin children. The pair will investigate the circumstances behind Ai’s death while fulfilling their dreams in the tumultuous idol industry.
