Solo Leveling SURPASSES One Piece in Crunchyroll Ratings
Has One Piece’s absence opened the door for Solo Leveling to reach its heights?
After the release of Solo Leveling Season 2 Episode 11 on March 15, 2025, Solo Leveling would become the first anime to reach over 600,000 ratings on Crunchyroll with only 23 episodes within the span of a single year.
This means that Solo Leveling has surpassed One Piece in 2025.
Season 2 Episode 11 itself would get a 9.8 rating on IMDb.
The One Piece anime has taken a six month back beginning on October 20, 2024 and will return on April 6, 2025.
About One Piece
One Piece is an action-adventure shonen manga written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda beginning in 1997 for Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine, with over 520 million sales and 110 volumes.
The story takes place in a fictional world of pirates, with the protagonist Monkey D. Luffy setting out to sail with his crew to find the One Piece treasure.

Solo Leveling was originally South Korean portal fantasy web novel written by Chugong, serialized in Kakao’s digital comic and fiction platform KakaoPage beginning on July 25, 2016, and was later published by D&C Media under their Papyrus label since November 4, 2016.
It would later become a webtoon  first serialized in KakaoPage on March 4, 2018, illustrated by the late Jang Sung-rak (Dubu), vided into two seasons, with the first season ending on March 19, 2020, followed by its second season, released from August 2020 to December 2021.
Eventually, Solo Leveling would be adapted into an anime television series by A-1 Pictures (Seven Deadly Sins, Kaguya-sama), with Season 1 airing on January 7, 2024 and ended on March 31, 2024 after 12 episodes.
Season 2 began on January 7, 2025 and is set to end on March 29, 2025 with 13 episodes.
Hiroyuki Sawano (Attack on Titan, Seven Deadly Sins) composes the series original soundtrack.
