It seems like the Solo Leveling Manhwa and the story of Sung Jinwoo’s ISN’T OVER YET!

Kakao Entertainment Corp., the South Korean publishing company that prints Solo Leveling Webtoons, announced on July 15, 2024, that the original Solo Leveling Manhwa will be receiving a sequel called “”Solo Leveling – Ragnarok”.

According to the publishing company, Solo Leveling – Ragnarok will be based on the web novel of the same name, and the plot will revolve around Sung Jinwoo’s son, “Sung Suho”, who is following in his father’s footsteps as a hunter.

Sung Suho lived the life of a normal college student until his dormant lineage awoke during a near-death experience. In doing so, he became just like his father, a hunter who defies and commands death.

The author for the upcoming webtoon will be Daul, who wrote the original web novel that the original Solo Leveling webtoon adapts, and artist JIN from REDICE STUDIO, whose CEO illustrated the original Solo Leveling manhwa before his passing in 2022.

Solo Leveling – Ragnarok will be released on Aug 1, 2024, but the English release date is still unknown and will likely be licensed much later.

It’s been over a decade since the sudden appearance of the “gates”—the paths that connect our world with a different dimension. Since then, certain humans have awakened to supernatural powers.

We call these individuals “hunters.”

Hunters make their living by using their powers to conquer dungeons inside the gates. In this world of tough customers, the low-ranked hunter Jinwoo Sung is known as “the weakest hunter of all mankind.”

One day, Jinwoo gets fatally injured when he runs into high-rank double dungeons hidden within a low-rank dungeon.

Just then, a mysterious quest window appears in front of him. On the verge of death, Jinwoo decides to accept the quest and starts leveling up… while the others aren’t.
