The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity Anime Announced
A manga featuring two lovers from opposing schools will get premium treatment from Cloverworks
On September 16, 2024, “The Fragrant Flowers Bloom with Dignity” has released a trailer for its anime adaptation to be handled by Cloverworks (Spy x Family, Horimiya).
The anime is set to premiere on 2025.

It was previously disclosed last August 2024 that a new IP was and Twitter account (@kaoruhana_anime) were made, hinting at an anime announcement coming soon.

The trailers show only some frames of the two leads, Rintaro Tsumigi and Kaoruko Waguri, with a track that will likely be the series’ first opening song, which has yet to be credited or given a title.
To celebrate the anime’s release, the author Saka Mikami drew a commemorative illustration featuring the two leads, with Rintaro making a cake to honor the occasion.

The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity is a Japanese romance manga written and illustrated by Saka Mikami serialized at Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket manga website and app since October 2021.
As of July 2024, there have been 13 volumes published.
The story focuses on Rintaro and Kaoruku as they fall in love in spite of coming from opposing school backgrounds.
Rintaro comes from a “bad school” with mostly delinquent boys while Kaoruku is from a “prep school” mostly populated by girls.
