For Mother’s Day 2023, AnimeAnime.jp decided to hold a reader survey to rank the best mothers in anime and manga according to Japanese fans!
The survey allowed people to vote from April 28th until May 5.
The winners are as follows:
- Yor Forger- Spy x Family
- Ai Hoshino- Oshi no Ko
- Hinata- Naruto
- Misae Nohara- Shinchan
- Kouka- Gintama
- Honami Mochizuki- Petit Seka
- “Mom”- Uchi no Sanshimai
- Isabella- The Promised Neverland
- Yukiko Kudo- Detective Conan
- Carla Yeager- Attack on Titan
Details for the survey’s population are as follows:
In total, 586 people voted in the survey. with 70% of voters being women, 25% men, and 5% unknown.
50% of the people who voted were under the age of 19, and 25% were in their 20s.
The list had several new entries and characters moving up and down the list. Yor Forger jumped from last year’s fourth position to first, and Hinata went down from one to fourth.
