Tokyo Ghoul and Dead by Daylights Collaboration Set for April
Tokyo Ghoul makes a surprise appearance in the Dead by Daylights video game.
On March 11, 2025, the official Dead by Daylight Twitter page has confirmed the inclusion of Tokyo Ghoul’s Ken Kaneki as the latest killer in the game.
Ken Kaneki is the protagonist of Tokyo Ghoul and its sequel, Tokyo Ghoul:re and although ruthless at points in the story, making him a killer than a survivor is surprising given his more heroic or anti-heroic reputation.
However, he is not his normal self but rather, he is reimagined in the game as a creature deprived of his humanity, becoming a full ghoul without any remorse and only a desire to consume human flesh.
Ken Kaneki becomes “The Ghoul” that shows the darkest aspects of the Tokyo Ghoul story to the game’s audience.
On the Reddit thread and official forums, we also see the official patch notes explaining The Ghoul’s numerous powers, which are all tied to the Kagune, the additional limbs made of RC cells that give ghouls extended reach and multiple unique configurations.
In the game, players can use the Kagune Leap as a way to pull up to surfaces or grab objects and people.
The Tokyo Ghoul patch will arrive in Dead by Daylight on April 2, 2025.
