Tokyo Revengers Anime Sequel Confirmed!
A new chibi gag series, featuring Tokyo Revengers characters retelling classic fairy tales is also in the works.
During this weekend’s fan event, celebrating the fourth anniversary of the anime adaptation of Tokyo Revengers, the franchises announced that a new anime sequel is in the works.
Although not much is known about the sequel, a new key visual featuring Takemichi and Mickey was released along with a video recapping the important moments from the series.
Additionally, next year will mark the fifth anniversary of the anime’s debut, for which big celebrations are underway.
A new project titled Dachi Live is coming up, as a character image song concert is taking place on February 2, 2025, at Kanagawa’s Pacifico Yokohama.
Prior to the concert, a new character image song album will be released on October 23, titled Duet EP 01.
It will feature deuts sung between the characters from the series.
Additionally, plans for a new series titled Fairy Tale Revengers is coming up. It is a chibi gag series in which Tokyo Revengers characters retelling classic stories.
The first tale coming for fans will be a new version of the tale of Momotaro.
The anime is based on Ken Wakui’s manga, serialized in the Weekly Shonen Magazine since 2017. It officially came to an end on November 16, 2022, with 278 chapters.
Kodansha describes the plot of Tokyo Revengers as:
“Watching the news, Takemichi Hanagaki learns that his girlfriend from way back in middle school, Hinata Tachibana, has died.
The only girlfriend he ever had was just killed by a villainous group known as the Tokyo Manji Gang.
