Witness How The Whole World Celebrated Luffy’s Birthday In The Grandest Of Fashions!

Monkey D. Luffy is undoubtedly one of the most beloved and recognizable characters in fictional history! His rise to international fame was sealed when Luffy floated across the streets of New York during Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2023.

Since then, fans have been looking forward to May 5, the official birthday of the Strawhat captain. And now that Luffy Day is officially over, let’s take a look at how the entire world celebrated in the grandest of fashions!

In Paris, fans made a float of Luffy in his ICONIC Gear 5 transformation. A hoard of people were surrounding Luffy to catch a glimpse during the “auspicious” day.

London One Piece fans chose to make Luffy in Gear 4, making him float while trying to jump in that balloon-like posture.

On a separate wall, Madrid fans stuck pictures of various characters along with Luffy with that canon-like arm protruding out of the wall, recreating a partial version of Gear 3.

Meanwhile, Berlin fans went with Gear 2 Luffy, recreating the iconic pose sports athletes love to imitate.

And in Milan, they just made a large-ass Strawhat and called it a day.

There wasn’t any major announcements from Shueisha or Toei Animation on Luffy Day so, kinda disappointed on that, to be honest.

However, One Piece Live-Action star Inaki Godoy drops a hint of Mr.3 coming to the series, possibly in the next season!
